I have been shopping at Gulf Coast lumber for over 20 years. Their prices on both lumber and plumbing supplies are excellent and significantly lower than the big box stores. They willingly pull and load supplies for you and their staff is ALWAYS helpful and polite.
Bought 6 gallons of non-ethonal gas for my lawn mower. Got it home and it had two separate small engines spitting and sputtering. So the next morning I called them back and told the.manager what happened and that I thought there could be something wrong with the gas. The manager handed me over to another employee who got nasty right off the back. He informed me that if there was something wrong with the gas I must have done something to it. Then telling me that he would not discuss this over the phone I would need to bring the gas to them. So I loaded up and drove to Woodville only to have the same employee rush me out the door telling me he would "meet me at the pump". He came outside with a clear bottle poured some of the gas from my can in it then pumped some in to the same bottle. I think his intention was to show that the two were different. However, they were not! At that point he informs me that there is nothing wrong with their gas it must be my equipment. Saying I should return it cause they sold me a lemon. I remind him that I ran it through two separate engines while he ignores me telling it was my problem or the company they buy their gas from, Eli Roberts and I should call them. Having had enough of being treated like a scam artist I inform the employee that this is where I bought the gas and all I want is for them to make it right so I can mow my grass. That in the very least this is terrible customer service only to have him turn to me and say, "It doesn't look like you're our customer any more!" and storm off. This place is already over prices so avoid the hassle and go any where else!
